Black and Decker HT22 Review
A candidate for those looking for a 22 inch hedge trimmer, might find the Black and Decker HT22 review useful. Suitable for general home use by anyone really, due to it’s light weight – only 5.5 pounds. Check out the latest user reviews which have been added at the bottom recently.
Power Type – Gas or Electric?
Cordless Or Corded?
Corded – Powered by a 4 Amp motor
For all general hedge cutting chores and the ability to cut branches with a maximum diameter of 3/4 of an inch.
22 Inch blades
Suitable for Cutting Vertically?
Does have a D shaped handle at the front which will help a bit when working vertically, although not a swivel type of rear handle. May not matter to much if there isn’t very much vertical cutting involved.
Dual Action Blades?
YES – Review reports are pretty good for the Black & Decker HT22. This is the newer version of the the HT512 model which will be discontinued over time.
One difference to expect from this newer model, is that the lock-on button has been removed. Obviously B&D have re-thought the safety aspect of a lock-on feature a decided to remove it.
One reviewer has had a problem with the switch on their trimmer after 9 months of use. B&D has sent them a shipping label to send it back under the warranty. They state that this was less than a week ago – no further report on this, so I would assume all has been rectified.
The star rating system have awarded it with 4.6 from 5 stars by 31 users who gave a review.
