If it’s a lighter type of electric hedge trimmer that your looking for, then you might want to take a look at the Black & Decker TR116 which has been reviewed and liked by the few users so far that have used it. Smaller sized 16 inch blades is another factor in keeping the weight down if you don’t really require a long reach trimmer.
The Gardena 8885-U makes a handy little trimmer to have to hand when tidying up the yard. The 3 inch cutting blade of these electric grass shears are suitable for many shaping and trimming jobs where a large trimmer could cause some unrepairable and regretable damage.
Any commercial company or larger hedge owners should take a close look at the Kawasaki KHSS750A gas hedge trimmer if looking for something to cut those hedges at speed. The single sided 30 inch blade can certainly cover a lot of hedge once you get the swing going.
Not great reviews coming from users of the Weed Eater GHT195. Certainly there are only 5 reviews of this gas powered hedge trimmer which is not a great amount. This one has a 25cc 2 Cycle motor and 19 inch blades.
Suited for the small tasks around the yard is the Earthwise trimmer, model M1E-LD-200M/7.2 which doubles up as a small hedge and shrub trimmer and a pair of electric grass shears. Added to this dual system is adjustable handle with wheels to make the chore a bit easier.
With the Toro hedge trimmer (model 51496) you get a cordless trimmer that uses a 24 Volt battery to power the dual action blades which are 24 inch in length. Suitable for vertical cutting with the rear swivel handle. Good reviews found for this cutter.
An extended reach hedge trimmer is exactly what is required when cutting growth higher up on hedges etc. The Remington RM3017HP is an example of such a trimmer with 17 inch blades and a 3 Amp motor. A pity that the reviews from users don’t quite reach the heights the trimmer can reach while cutting.
If you already have other gardening power tools in the same grouping as the Greenworks 22632-RC then you may already have the 40 volt battery required to power this trimmer. The review goes into some detail about the cordless electric hedge trimmer.
It all started with a family member asking which hedge trimmer to buy. Due to my experience of using trimmers etc. in my business before retiring I was allotted the task of creating a list of suitable models for them.
My recommended short list of hedge trimmer reviews grew quite considerably so I thought, why not place them all together on this blog where others could also benefit.
Regular visitors to the site will notice that I have recently added string trimmers and beard trimmers. Email or post a comment about any other trimmers you would like reviewed.
