worx wg268 hedge trimmerThe video below of a Worx hedge trimmer review is short but will give you a bit of an idea of what the WORX WG265 is about.

Further down you’ll find a bulleted review giving more details of this particular model.

Features of the WORX WG265 Hedge Trimmer

Power Type – Gas or Electric?

Electric

Cordless Or Corded?

Cordless – Uses a powerful 40 volt battery, MAX lithium type with battery power indicator. This is a lot of power for a cordless trimmer and a big jump up from the previous two models reviewed on this site, the WORX WG265 with the 24 volt battery and the WORX WG255 with a 20 volt battery.

Cutting Capability?

As mentioned, 40 volts is a lot of power and this trimmer will allow you to work for longer and get through your trimming chore much quicker than a trimmer with a less powerful battery. Will cut through growth of 3/4 of an inch thick.

At the on-page product description, WORX states that “The WORX WG268 Lithium Cordless Hedge Trimmer provides gas-like power”. Not having used this machine to compare it with a gas model, I’m not in the position to argue with this bold statement.

Certainly as they state, no gas exhaust fumes to concern yourself about and no doubt it will weigh less, meaning less fatigue. But somehow I think you’ll find a gas powered trimmer will be working on for a lot longer not being reliant on a battery to be recharged. Two batteries might help with this situation but again these batteries are not cheap.

That being said, if you need a hedger that requires a stronger powered battery then this provides that in spades. And yes I can see many situations where this version of a power trimmer will be welcomed by many users with open arms.

Blade Length?

22 inches long blades with laser cut finish.

Suitable for Cutting Vertically?

No swiveling rear handle although there is a helpful D shaped handle on the front grip.

Dual Action Blades?

There is no mention on whether this trimmer has dual action blades or not, so we must assume that it is not unless WORX can enlighten us better. I have even visited to find out more about this but was very disappointed with what I found.

What did I find, well very little in the way of hedge trimmers as the only one shown there is the Worx WG200E model which indeed does have dual action blades. Why they don’t have their full range of models listed there beats me. Anyway there company!

Any Reviews?

NO – So far there is not a Work hedge trimmer review to report about regarding the WORX WG265. Best idea would be to take a look at the other models that they do have reviews reported.
